I am a parent and a parent educator. I have spent more than twenty years doing my best to help parents, foster parents, and children improve their relationships and overall family lives. I have been lucky enough over the years to have received the knowledge and wisdom of a lot of great mentors. I enjoy writing hubs here in hubpages and I love getting feedback and hearing from other hubbers. So far this has been a great experience. I enjoy writing on parenting issues and other health related issue as well as a little on travel. So far my favorite hub is the one on insomnia though it is one of my least read hubs. Oh well....

I attended Simon Fraser University. I have a B.A. in Criminology and an M.A. in Psychology but most of what I have learned has been from the families and children I have worked with over the years. To all of them I can only give a great big thank you!

I have a lot of interests outside of parenting that include photography, travel, scuba diving, and playing guitar and singing. Hope you enjoy the hubs. Cheers.
